DIVO-Ted Talks
You, the Earth, and Every Ecosystem In Between

"You are one single human cell in this giant ball called Earth in the middle of the solar system."
I love that image because it changes how I move through the day. A cell does its job with clarity. It nourishes and communicates. It repairs and adapts. It belongs.
In this episode I start with the ecosystem only I can steward. My mind, my body, and my spirit. I talk about the brain as a receiver and an organizer of my essence, and how my thoughts about myself nudge my biology and the life I create around me. From there I widen the circle. Home. Relationships. Community. Culture. Each is an ecosystem shaped by the organizing forces of others.
I keep going until we reach the one we share. Earth. A living biosphere that includes us, not as rulers, but as participants. The goal is not to maximize only for me. The goal is to maximize for all. Yoga and meditation become practical tools for dissolving the illusion of separation so I can feel my place in the fabric that holds us.
What I explore.
- How self talk becomes cellular talk.
- Why homes and communities behave like nested ecosystems.
- Ways the nervous system tunes to the environments we choose.
- How practice helps me move from me to we without losing myself.
- The beauty of being a stepping stone. How small actions become part of big transformation.
A simple practice to try today.
- Step outside and place your hand on a tree or the ground.
- Breathe slowly. Count four in and six out for two minutes.
- Ask. What is the most helpful role I can play right now. Catalyst. Caretaker. Stabilizer.
- Write one sentence and take one tiny action that matches it.
Why it matters.
When I see myself as a healthy cell inside a healthy planet, my choices get clearer. Food, movement, rest, and relationships begin to support more than my mood or my metrics. They support life.
