Remembering Joy: Yoga, Ayurveda & the Art of Returning to Who You Really Are

“The joy never left. I just forgot how to tune into it.”
This episode came from a moment when I felt worn down, stretched thin, and honestly a little lost. Life felt heavy, the world felt loud, and joy felt far away. And then something simple cracked me open and reminded me that joy never actually leaves us. We just forget how to tune back into it. In this episode, I talk about yoga, Ayurveda, memory, and how returning to joy is not about chasing something new, but remembering what has always been there.
Remembering Joy Is Not Escaping Life
Joy is not about avoiding hard things or pretending everything is fine. It is about remembering who you are underneath the stress, the noise, and the stories you tell yourself. Yoga teaches us to stay present, even when things feel uncomfortable. Ayurveda reminds us that imbalance is not failure, it is information. When we slow down and listen, joy has space to come back online.
How Memory Brings Joy Back to Life
There are moments in our lives that still live inside us. Music, smells, places, and movement can wake them up. When I heard a song that mattered to me, something opened. The joy I thought was gone was still there. It had never left. We just lose resonance with it. Remembering joy is often about changing what you give your attention to, even briefly.
What We Explore in This Episode
• Yoga helps you slow down enough to feel what is already present
• Ayurveda reminds you that imbalance is not failure, it is feedback
• Breath clears mental and emotional clutter so joy can rise naturally
• Movement helps release what the body has been holding onto
• When space is created, joy does not need to be forced. It returns on its own
