How to Stay Centered in the Political Divide
Share:
"It's not your job to make other people see. It is your job to be you. That's it. I am. I am that I am. Period."
When I sat with a client conversation about the political divide, what really stood out to me was how often both sides are feeling the same things, even when the details are different. That’s part of what makes this moment feel so tense, so reactive, and so hard to sort through.
What I keep coming back to is, when the world gets louder, the practice is to return to center. Yoga, meditation, prayer, and anything that brings you back to yourself can remind you that you are not the fluctuation. You are the awareness behind it. And sometimes that is the only place real clarity begins.
A Map of Wisdom
Here are some of the places we go together in this talk:
✦ Why morality is not as universally agreed upon as people think
✦ What political polarization reveals about shared emotional patterns
✦ How a two party system keeps amplifying the swing
✦ Why practices like yoga and meditation create perspective
✦ What it means to remember that your essence is already well and free
Something to Sit With
If you stripped away the noise, the labels, and the arguments, who would you still be?

A Restorative Step:
Find sixty seconds today where you close your eyes and say to yourself, slowly: I am not these things. I am well. I am free. Don’t try to believe it. Just let the words land. Notice what happens in your body when you stop gripping the story and come back to the feeling of being here.
