Becoming Who You Are: Yoga, Self-Honesty & Letting Go of Everyone Else’s Blueprint

“I realized I was living smaller than me.”

This episode is about the exhaustion that comes from trying to be someone you are not. I have spent a lot of time trying to follow other people’s ideas of success, balance, and how life should look. And the more I tried to fit into those shapes, the worse I felt. In this episode, I talk honestly about letting go of borrowed blueprints and coming back to myself.

The Cost of Living Someone Else’s Life

Trying to follow someone else’s path can look responsible on the outside, but it often feels empty on the inside. I realized that emulating other people’s lives was slowly disconnecting me from my own joy, health, and intuition. Yoga teaches awareness. When you pay attention, you can feel when something is not aligned, even if it looks good on paper.

Self Honesty as a Healing Practice

Self honesty is not harsh. It is freeing. It asks simple questions. Does this feel right? Does this support the life I actually want? Ayurveda reminds us that balance is personal. What works for someone else may not work for you. When I started listening to my own body, rhythms, and needs, things began to settle naturally.

What We Explore in This Episode

• Trying to control everything creates tension and exhaustion
• Real alignment comes from honest connection, not perfection
• Collaboration allows people to show up as they are, not who they pretend to be
• Letting go of control creates room for growth and clarity
• Becoming who you are starts when you stop shrinking to fit someone else’s plan
